Estate disputes and Commercial litigation
Estate disputes and litigation
Estate disputes arise for a variety of reasons. Many estate disputes can be resolved without litigation, but others require filing a lawsuit with extensive discovery (depositions, interrogatories, and document requests) and expert witnesses such as forensic accountants. Our firm has decades of experience handling a variety of civil litigation, including estate disputes.
We are pleased that David Scull, Esq. has become “Of Counsel” to the firm and resident in our Rockville office. Since graduating from Princeton and the University of Virginia law school, Dave has had an impressive carrier in public service (in the Army, Maryland legislature and as president of the Montgomery County Council) in addition to practicing law.
Dave has decades of experience with estate planning and litigating estate disputes (see Dave’s impressive bio). Dave joins partner Jack Gold in handling estate matters. Jack is a graduate of Georgetown University law school and has prepared estate planning documents for hundreds of clients. Jack also heads the firm Appellate practice and has an impressive record in state and federal appellate courts.
Commercial disputes and litigation
Commercial disputes within or between business entities often require litigation to resolve. Our firm’s decades of experience handling a variety of civil litigation involves a team approach, including litigating commercial disputes.
Zachary King, Esq. has been with our firm for 15 years, and plays a large role on the team litigating commercial and estate disputes. Zach is a graduate of Harvard Law School and had extensive experience with commercial litigation prior to joining our firm. Zach brings his intellect and uncanny memory skills to help sort out the facts and issues in complex cases, including drafting persuasive motions, briefs, and mediation statements that help resolve cases before trial. We think our team approach in these cases gives the firm a competitive edge. (See Zach’s bio here).
